coexistence of opposites

One who don’t see the co-existence of opposites in world will not progress in life. Understanding the co-existence of opposites in life is such an amazing knowledge, a great realization. Complete freedom, being totally spaced out, having no bondage on one hand and completely committed and totally responsible on other hand do co-exist. They seem completely opposite but one automatically contains other.

One, who can realize this, can only establish in the center of ones being. It’s a big dilemma for lot and lots of people faces in their life.

There are people who are dynamic and extrovert they end-up being very aggressive in nature. They are hardly relaxed, they are restless, and it’s difficult in being the company of such people.

There are people who are calm and introvert, they don’t take responsibility and complain, end-up being inactive. They are relaxed to the extent of being dull, their company is uninteresting, not much happens around such people. Being dynamic and calm looks opposite but their co-existence makes one the complete personality, being dynamic in action and calm inside in heart.

Completely accepting the people and events happening around and still taking proactive action, sounds opposite but one comes automatically complemented with another. One who has realizes this can be centered both in ups and downs of life. One who knows this can smile even in worst time of the life. One have experienced this will not crave for the comfortable world and will not be averse to the unpleasant event around.

And spirituality is a path to achieve such state of being.

Blessed Bastar!

In my last post I promised to send some more pictures from the Bastar trip, here u go....

Today I finished a course in a beautiful village named darbha 15 kms from these teerathgarh water falls, another beautiful must visit site near jagdalpur!

These falls are much more approachable unlike chitrakota, you can even sit very near and meditate or even can take a shower. Silver in color (as you can see), chitrakota falls are golden in color and generally little muddy also.

Now! this picture of a green land with some trees and fields is heavenly place blessed by Guruji to be Bastar Art of living ashram(meditation and training center):

Blessed and Beautiful: Bastar

Just coming back from a refresher program of 100 odd people in a remote village area, 45 kms from Jagdalpur district. What an experience, I was amazed to see the reach of Art of Living to these very remote villages of Bastar Tribal areas. Every member of this particular village named tallur have attended the Art of Living program and they practice Sudarshan Kriya. Most of the male member of tribal families drink their local wine (which they make in their homes from a local flower) everyday some actually drink three times a day as well :-). This particular village people hardly consume alcohol. They have an Art of Living meditation hall, in which I conducted the program today. Local villagers are giving a new name this village, guess what, the new name name is Sri Sri Gulabi Nagar (as every home of the village is going to be painted in pink colour in next few months).

Their simplicity (bholapan), devotion and participation was simply inspiring. Going into meditation is effortless for these people. They do daily evening satsangs in near by 20 villages. I'll post some pictures in my next posting. Its very easy for them to merge into the singing. They start swaying and dancing from the first bhajan itself.

These tribal villages are simply beautiful, they homes (mostly made of mud, grass and bamboo) are unbelievably clean. They really maintain their homes, the fencing of their gardens, gobiri (cows dunk used for layering the floor), everything very neatly organized. Villages are generally very small in size (500-1000 people) and there are tons and tons of lush green forest. So water may be red in color (undrinkable) but lots and lots of high prana, high oxygen, clean and fresh supply of air everywhere.

Defining Health!

Health is not mere absence of disease. Indian Science of life (Ayurveda) has given a beautiful and complete definition of health. Health is:

Disease free body
Quiver free breath
Stress free mind, living in present moment!
Intellect free of preconceptions, sharp intellect
Memory free of negative impressions
Ego that takes everyone together
And a soul free of any sorrow

With effective breathing exercises (like sudarshan kriya), some asanas and with an ayurvedic life style, each and everyone can achieve this. And this is what Art of Course teaches us!

Prestige & Honour-Your Golden Cage

Beautiful knowledge-sheet (from Sri Sri's book "An Intimate Note to the Sincere Seeker")
I got to read this in a mail today, thought must share it with you:

Honour reduces freedom. Your fame, honour & virtue can limit your freedom.
Nobody expects a good person to make a mistake. So the better you are, the higher the expectations people have of you. It is then that you lose your freedom. Your virtues & good actions are like a golden cage. You are trapped by your own good actions , for everyone expects more from a good person & nobody expects anything from a bad person.

Most of the people are stuck in this cage of prestige & honour. They cannot smile. They are constantly worried about keeping up their prestige & honour. It becomes more important than their own life. Just being good or doing good to retain prestige & honour is worthless. Prestige & honour can bring more misery in life than poverty.

Many desire fame but little do they know that they are looking for a cage.

It is an art to be dignified & yet not be suffocated by it. Only the wise would know this. For the wise one it is natural to be honoured, but he has no concerns even if it falls apart. Despite having fame or prestige , he will live as though he has none. A wise person can handle any fame without feeling suffocated for he too is crazy !

By doing good in society one gains prestige, then when enjoying the prestige & honour one's freedom is lost.

Question : Then how do you keep your freedom ?
Sri Sri : By being like a child , considering the world as a dream , a burden or a joke.

Anurag

Blessed & Beautiful: Bastar

Dashara is a real big festival here. 100 of thousands of people of all tribal castes get together in Jagaladpur districts to celebrate the festival. They all bring the devi ki chattri (umbrella of divine mother), this chattri is a symbol of protect over their head that they get from divine mother. Representatives from all villeges gets their chattris, they come dancing and singing in their traditional outfits:

This is best quality picture I could get in night time (10PM)

They all gather in from of the local king palace and there starts a huge rath-yatra.

It's really huge, thousands were pulling the rath

Closer look of the rath:

In the mean time some more pictures of beautiful falls:

See that rainbow, it is always there. It appears at different angel and sizes from different view points.
